DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS CREW MEMBER

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Job description:

Under the direction of the Department of Public Works Superintendent, performs semi-skilled and skilled tasks and utilizes hand tools and operates a wide variety of small and heavy equipment for the maintenance and repair of Town infrastructure.

The general duties and responsibilities of the position are to perform routine daily operation and maintenance activities for the town's streets and parks. Such as snowplowing, road maintenance, tree cutting, and upkeep of parks and roadside overbrush and vegetation removal.

Frequently subject to work outside of normal work hour/week schedule as weather or circumstances dictate, such as snow storms.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• Work experience in maintenance and repair of roads and the operation of a variety of trucks and equipment.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with the expectation to obtain a class A within the 1st year of employment
• Similar job experience preferred.
