Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update
Town of Genesee Comprehensive Plan Update
Help shape the Town’s future.
The Town of Genesee is updating its Comprehensive Plan to create a coordinated vision for the community’s future. The plan will guide land use, growth, development, public services, infrastructure, and policy decisions while helping preserve the qualities that make Genesee a distinctive place to live, work, and visit.
About the Project
The Town’s current Comprehensive Land Use Plan looks ahead to 2035. This update will reflect current conditions, emerging opportunities, community priorities, and Wisconsin’s comprehensive planning requirements. Wisconsin communities are required to update comprehensive plans at least once every 10 years.
The updated Comprehensive Plan will provide the Town Board, Plan Commission, Town staff, residents, property owners, businesses, and the development community with a practical and coordinated tool for decision-making. The planning process will address topics such as housing, transportation, economic development, natural and agricultural resources, utilities and community facilities, land use, and intergovernmental cooperation.
Throughout the project, this webpage will feature plan updates, materials for community review, meeting information, and opportunities to help shape the Town of Genesee’s future.
